Jeff Record. He’s the Record’s Ace Hardware Raton, NM head honcho, at least in his own mind.
What you should know about me: I’m the boss and I have my wife’s permission to say so.
Likes: Hiding all the “on sale this month” items in the back and then telling customers “come back next Wednesday”.
Marty Record. He’s the Record’s Ace Hardware Raton, NM head honcho, which comes as a surprise to everyone.
What you should know about me: I’m the Eric Trump of this family.
Likes: Creeping out people at the Record’s Ace Hardware cash register by speaking in tongues.
Sonja Record. Married the wrong brother. Wishes she were somewhere else.
What you should know about me. I hate my life so much.
Likes: Going to my “happy place” and hoping I never have to come back.
Dislikes: Customers and anyone named “Record”.
Ray Tafoya. Says he’s busy … but, busy with what?
What you should know about me. If I could do absolutely nothing, I would. Except someone told me that doing nothing is doing something. So, now I’m confused.
Likes: Wandering aimlessly around the Record’s Ace Hardware Raton, NM store, avoiding eye contact at all times.
Dislikes: Los clientes y el trabajo.
The Tall Paint Guy. I’m big … in paint!
What you should know about me. I think there is something wrong with me, BUT, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU, AND WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME, AND WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME QUESTIONS?
Likes: Putting my head in the Record’s Ace Hardware paint shaker and pressing “Start”.
Dislikes: Customers who push back, and paint sales.
And The Rest of the Employees. Not much work here in Raton. You have to take what you can get. Even if it’s working at Record’s Ace Hardware.
What you should know about us. We hide from Jeff, Marty and Sonja Record at every opportunity.
Likes: Sundays and every minute of freedom between 5:30 PM and 8 AM.
